Units have arrived and made entry at a heavily involved house fire. An initial on-scene report was given: Heavy fire showing side B and C on a lightweight, 5000+ square foot, two-story single family structure with walkout basement. Winds in the area are gusting to 48 mph against the back of the house. A neighbor has informed a crew member that he thinks he got everyone out of the structure before calling 911. While searching the master bedroom for occupants, interior crews reported quickly deteriorating conditions, and extreme heat. A MAYDAY has been called because one of the crew members that was upstairs searching for occupants was unable to exit the structure because the stairs are burned out. The incident commander has ordered a RIT activation to rescue the trapped crew member, but crews are having difficult entering due to severe fire conditions within the structure. Incident command has now transferred to you.
