A crew ventilated the C-side basement window and placed a negative pressure ventilation fan at the basement window. After the ventilation crew opened a few windows, they re-grouped to look for more windows by crawling on their hands and knees across the D-side living room floor.
At approximately 2023 hours, the interior vent crew approached the French doors and the floor collapsed sending fire and heavy smoke throughout the house. A fireball blew out the French doors pushing the fire fighter ahead of the victim out the door; he yelled that the victim was still inside the structure. The IC radioed for accountability and to sound the evacuation horns. Due to heavy smoke the victim could not be located but a PASS device was heard.
